I have been thinking of a biking trip in this incredible city called - DELHI! Its political powerhouse for largest democracy of the world. It houses one of the most beautiful building of the world. You can find old citycharm and latest design building in here. Lots of historical spots. have you even been there?
I have been thinking about if we go to a few places withing Delhi on a Sunday to click pics and also visit the place. I believe uch rides have happened in the past but I was not there. People in cars are also welcome (we need someone to carry the equipment!) When was last we visited Red Fort or Lotus Temple? Places on Agenda: - Lotus Temple (Close to my place and have neven been inside since I was 10 yrs old) - Red Fort - Humanyun's Tomb - Chandni Chowk - click people and the mood of saddi dilli! Have some street food there too! - Teen Murti Bhawan - There are beautiful lawns there. Will take very less time to shoot there. Can skip though. More suggestions welcome! Would like this to be on 25th October. Diwali rush would've been over by then and weather would be good too. The weekend after that i might not be in Delhi. :P

Good idea. Weatherr is also very suitable these days. And it would be good for the people who keep requesting a change in the meet venue.
Akshardham temple is also a good place. |

I am for it, though not this weekend, as I am not quite sure if people will be able to wake up early in the morning, which is the time we should start a meet like this.

I believe starting this tour too early would not be beneficial either. In mean we need to go only when the place is open. What places can be covered without having to wait for them to open. Unless you want to shoot Red fort from outside. |

I'm game, although it would depend on shifts. Remember a short ride I did, and the pics I posted? I might do the same thing on Diwali day in the wee hours of morning. The purpose won't be a photoshoot, but a chance to ride on the best of Delhi roads, like the ones in Chanakyapuri, Rajpath, Mandir road and more such. Even the one which connects the MG road to Faridabad, which I've seen is a lonely, lonely stretch. Anyone free may join, although it's only an idea and nothing has been finalised yet. And would like to know more such fabulous roads from you guys!

I am in!
Another road I love riding is Vandemataram Marg. Where else in Delhi can you ride between through thick forests? In fact I love riding all the roads that go through the ridge forest. Let's plan out a ride route including the ridge roads and Lutyen's Dehli. Love the 'gol chakkars' there!

- Riding Sunday - Riding through all these roads mentioned. Less time to click pics and mostly poser pics I believe - Maybe Matrimonial pics for unmarried/single bikers! - Photography Sunday - Aim to capture Dilli in all its essence. Could also require us to park bikes in Metro Stations and take the metro to save time (especially Old Delhi Area). Chance to court girls in the touristy areas and in Metro with everyone wielding swnaky looking cameras! What say people. Surprisingly, people who seem to be more camera friendly these days want a riding sunday!
