Battery and charger for Canon SX100 IS

i am looking forward to buy a battery and a charger for my Canon SX100 IS.....can u tell me what battery and charger brand is good enough?? and what MAH capacity should i buy??

Cooler welcome to BCMTouring, are you looking for a fast charger (charges within a few minutes) or something which is cheaper (12-24hour chargers).

As far as batteries go I personally like Uniross ones, 2100-2500mah ones are good enough and last a decent time and yet don't burn a hole in your pocket.

well..i would'nt really mind having a fast charger if it's not too expensive than the regular ones...i'm confused b/w sanyo uniross and sony charger...

for the battery i would want to go for +2500 mah..the one i'm currently using is 2500mah...uniross looks great..

Personally I use Uniross chargers and I am quite satisfied with them and the same goes for their batteries. A fast charger would probably cost you Rs. 2000 or more, with couple of pairs of rechargeable batteries. However chargers which are quite fast, end up lowering the life of the batteries, so you might want to stick with on which recharges batteries in 2-8hours.

Just make sure it is legally imported and comes with warranty and bill, otherwise chances of getting fakes is there.

The first one you have listed is without warranty, you will likely get much better price locally (which city are you from?) and warranty as well. Second one seems slightly expensive as well, though it carries warranty. Both of them will take around 8-10hours to recharge a pair of 2500mah batteries.

Btw second one doesn't looks fake, it is meant for low power batteries and going by the rating, would likely take 36hours to charge a pair of AA 2500mah batteries.

went to the dealer today.....saw couple of chargers and batteries

uniross does have a e pres series which seems pretty good ...with battery ranginf from 2100-2500mah

plus

what do u feel about sanyo eneloops?? they seem pretty good with awesome backup...but they come with 2000mah...
