Hello Friends
Taking the thread back to Point and Shoot Camera Discussion.
I certainly would preffer to have Canon PnS then any other camera. I have used Canon Powershot S1 IS and then Power Shot S2 IS for almost 3 yrs and found their results really great.
The addition features on canon PnS cameras is that you have optical zoom in movie mode also. Generally other cameras don't allow that because of the noise of the motor (used for zoom function) getting recorded in the movie. Canon uses ultrasonic motor.
However now Panasonic have also launched a PnS camera with zoom in movie mode "Panasonic TZ5".
If you can wait little more say till Dec. than, Canon is about to launch two new PnS (Point and Shoot) super zoom cameras.
"Powershot SX10 IS" and "Powershot SX1 IS"
features at a glance:
-10MP
-20x Optical Zoom (28mm-560mm)
-Movie at 60/30fps (in SX1 IS - HD movie can also be shot)
-Other standard (Canon) features.
The price tag will be something around $385 (checked at Amazon)
