Wow shots! Wonder who/what was at the receiving end on the first 2 shots!

My guess: you just put the cam on bulb mode and waited for the lightning flash.

This can only be done with setting up the camera on the tripod, then doing a raindance with great reverence!
Believers are then rewarded!

I did not use bulb mode, I used 30 seconds exposures, set cam in continuous drive, and then did the rain dance.

At the receiving end were some poor lightning detectors of high rises
