The original Canon charger (CB-2LWE), if available would be exorbitantly priced. MRP for the same is 2895 (Canon India price list). And for some strange reason, all search results for this product are either uk or au websites. Are there any alternatives to this product that you know of? And can someone in US please look for this charger and let me know if available along with the price?

There is a universal charger available in the market. The terminals can be moved and the voltage and the polarity can be selected. This works for almost all the cameras and the batteries.
The only thing is that you have to take the battery out of the device and then plug it to the charger. If you can't find anything than do give it a try. |

Phew! i was almost terrified of as to what I'll do once the 2 batteries that I have ran out! But thank heavens I've found my charger. Bro had done some rearranging of stuff and had misplaced the charger. But thanks to all for their advise.
@Eric: the universal charger sounds interesting. Can it also charge cell phone batteries and have a car adapter too? |

I haven't come across any small batteries (except AA or AAA) that they can't charge. Basically the terminals need to be on the same side and in the same line as we see in mobile and camera batteries. Have used it to charge my Nokia 1108 battery and also a Nikon coolpix and Sony Cybershot battery. |
