Default Pangong Tso

Here is the latest wallpaper that I am using, a photo of Pangong Tso from last year’s trip. What do you guy’s think, is the editing and composition good or needs some improvements?

Comments, criticisms, suggestion are always welcomed.

@sachin: Which lake is that? Pangong Tso is >130kms

@Yogesh: Cant fault much with the lighting and editing. But to me composition needs work. At first glance the picture does take my breath away, but my eyes wander around and I feel things could have been better.

Don't know how to put it, but the similar angle with more of the shore or no shore seen or wider angle would have made the picture better.

Maybe if u put up a hi-res photo i'd crop a bit to give an idea of what 'I' feel would have made this good picture better

Yogesh: Nice pic there!

But here's a point: The sky looks too blue, almost violet at the top right, the photo looks over p-shopped.

@Sksy: i dint saw it in real... but read somewhere on net (x***) that its abt 90KMs long and 4 KMs wide at its best! well, thats a wrong info, and i googled it up to find out that its abt 134kms long!

a wide panoramic image of this lake wud be excellent stuff to get developed for personal use!

i wish yogi posts that pic without his logo!

Nope, one needs to lock the aperture for panoramic shots, which sadly can’t be done in my cam.

Hmm… good point didn’t include shore because it was too rocky and would have made the photo look busy in the corner. Pm me your email address and I will email you the pic.

I guess I need to tone down a bit on the saturation.

The colors doesn't look natural, specially the sky. Try toning down the saturation.

Hmm.. not able to tweak around a lot with the original.. but here's a way i would crop it..

Another slightly extra work to give that almost un-natural look (done by my friend Arun)

Me too

Liked Sksy's crop. This would have been the natural perspective one would get from an SLR.
