Can you explain the process a bit more, Tanveer?I tried with this but could not successfully do it. And also sometimes we see pictures which are definitely not in B/W but not exactly in Sepia also...kind of very little sepia tone..if you can tell me how to do it?

Hmm not much idea about sepia.
but as for red rose its simple, open Hue/Saturation editor, and desaturate everything except the red channel.
So green leaves go B&W, but red rose remains red
