yaar yogesh i had a query, donno if this is the rite topic to ask. when ever i see you ppl's ladakh pic they are really breathtaking to the point of being perfect and sometimes unrealistic.. the colors are so sharp and vivid, the skies seem jus perfect, the variation in color so distinct... Is ladakh really lik this or there is some amount of enhancement done to pics...
(PS: no offence ment to the photographic capabilities of anyone) |

Ladakh has the most beautiful and clear skies, add to this the colors of the mountains is often in such a stark contrast to sky, that many photos look more like painting than photos.
Having said that, there is fair bit of editing involved, but it is typically done in such a manner to ensure the picture is as close to what the photographer saw rather than what the nincompoop camera thought was a perfect balance. Some time photographers (me included) go a little over board with editing, but most often than not, it is the landscape that is so stunning that people think the photograph is unreal. |

Good ones, Yogesh.
Some from my 2005 Leh trip: ![]() ![]() This one was taken in a hurry. Getting stuck in quicksand on a narrow strip of land with water on both sides in the Pangong Tso was scary! ![]() ![]()
