hello friends i want to upload some photos from my trip log to munsiyari , but in ur site it has a limit of 200kb jpg image i have a photos of 1 or 2 mb how can i cut into smaller size so it become 100 or 150 kb so i can upload into ur site . i have taken these snaps from my canon camera at maximum quality.thanx buddy hoping for reply soon.

2 options
1. upload the pics on some other site like flickr or photobucket or imageshack and post the link here..

2. compress them using some software like irfanview, photoshop or the microsoft office picture manager and them upload them..

Compress here means RESIZE them to 800X600 resolution. They show up well in that resolution. A few might still be larger than 200 KB! Then you need to get the size further down by either cropping off a bit or reducing the jpg 'quality' from default 80% to perhaps 70%.

Will have to talk to the Admin to increase this pathetic limit!

Deepak, if you upload your photos to photobucket.com (free hosting site), you will be able to do the resizing etc.. online. ie. photobucket will do it for you. There are options to choose the resolution you want.
Once your photos are uploaded you need to only post the IMG link into your post's textbox.

Otherwise, download the freeware called IRFANVIEW.
This little utility allows you to resize, crop, edit many parameters etc...

Deepak, if ur pic are less than = 200kb, the site will automaticaly resize them to 800*600 ..... And even if that doesnt help, i tell u what...if u have office one note installed, clip ur pics, save them as jpg in paint .... woallah!!, the size reduces to around 50-60 kb!!! Then upload them...And if u dont have one note, take a print screen, copy in paint, cut ur required image and save as jpg...This one is long and tedious, but its the last way out!!!! Bole toh, jugaadu kaam!!
