Sky & its changing moods
Well, I have been observing since last one week that the weather in Delhi has become beyond the predictions of Met dept. At one time it pours heavily & in some time the Sun comes harsh. I started looking at it from photography point of view from 28th July, when I was stuck up in Jam, returning home from my office. I thought of utilizing the time, took out the Camera & started clicking moods of Sky in Delhi. The sky was very Picturesque on 28th (Monday ) evening :

As I say, sky is the best background :

Getting stuck up in Jam is a daily routing while returning home & became my brief photography session of Sky on that stretch. Contrary to what the sky looked on 28th, on tuesday evening witnessed its flared up mood, as if its FUMING :

Wednesday, 29th July, observed a good rainy day in Delhi & enroute home I couldn't manage to click any. I was happy as there was no Jam enroute and was in cheerless mood as I missed to capture the offerings of Sky on that day. But yes, I managed few from the window of my office (which I rarely open ) when it was raining heavy. Skyscrapers of CP as seen from my office window :

An eagle sitting hushed enjoying (enjoying ????) the rain :

Thursday, 30th July, I don't know how I totally forgot that I was capturing a series. It was only on Friday, 31st July, when my office colleague told me not to open curtains & windows as it was a eclipse, that I opened deliberately and witnessed the shine in sky.. Clicked it again from my office window :

When the bird can take a flight during Eclipse, why are humans afraid of ? :

OK, now why dont all you photographers post some moods of sky clicked by you, in the thread??

Amit lovely photographs, especially the one with residential building and the ones shot while being stuck in the traffic jam.

Sadly was busy on the last Tuesday and Wednesday and those days the lighting was perfect. Hopefully the weather would change we will get more such beautiful sky in the coming days.

i too have been observing the sky for the past few weeks and have found it pretty weird.. specially on the greater noida expressway.. imagine black sky with streaks of orange.. blue sky with clusters of clouds.. many times i feel i should carry my camera with me everywhere i go..

Unless your office has rules against it, I don't see why not.

What an idea and what photos! Splendid!

But alas, Amit, the dates and day-of-week do not match for July 2008!
So now tell us truthfully, which year were these photos taken in??

OOps ... What a mistake.. just now noticed that the date of my camera is a day behind... The photo "properties" say its clicked on 27th, but I started it from Monday... & so I continued this way without checking the calendar...

Thanks for pointing out Anupji.... please read from 28th July, Monday...
