Wildlife photo exhibition
Hi guys, don't know the details of this exhibition, as it where it's on, but would appreciate if someone can post if he/she has any details. I am trying my best too.
Wildlife photo exhibition begins in Delhi
New Delhi, Oct 2 (PTI) Spectacular close-ups of the
myriad moods of the natural world are on display at a
seven-day wildlife photo exhibition in the national capital to
mark Wildlife Week beginning today.
Titled 'Expressions from Wilderness', the exhibition is a
visual treat for wildlife lovers displaying a stunning variety
of the fauna and flora across the country.
One can glimpse exotic birds and butterflies found in the
western Ghats and the Himalayan region.
Images of animals like elephants and endangered tigers in
all shades and moods have been captured by amateur and
renowned wildlife photographers such as Akashendu Das, Satpal
Gandhi, Bhumesh Bharti, Amritpal Singh and Rajeev Mehta.
The exhibition has been organized by two NGOs, World
Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Traffic India.
"The pictures cover a wide variety of animals, birds,
plants and insects and are very aesthetically presented. In
their own individual way, the photographers represent magical
images of the web of life that binds us all," Samir Sinha,
head of Traffic India said.
He said the exhibition aims to sensitise the general
public towards the importance of nature and helps in a better
understanding of the inherited ecology, which is the need of
the hour.
"Considering that many species of fauna and flora have
become endangered with some of them on the verge of extinction
it is more critical now to find means of spreading awareness
of our ecosystem," Sinha said. PTI AJ
