Bhape da dhaba next to it is pretty good. One of the best chicken curry and dal makhani in NCR. Also those who like Karim's at Jama Masjid should also try Jawahar next to it. Their food is real yummy too.

Indeed, Prasham, it is a curious fact that while in Delhi one does not specifically find great veg joints, once you are on NH1, most dhabas are Vaishno, aka, Veg!

Majority of the places above do serve vegetarian food as long as you don't find people eating meat next to you offensive.

Well I think the most affordable places would be the various clubs in Delhi. I frequent the Delhi Gymkhana and Vasant Vihar Club and both of them serve amazing food at very nominal prices.

Membership certainly isnt very affordable though...
