Sorry guys I don't have any pics of this restaurant (I have also heard that the first restaurant of this chain is in Tardeo, Mumbai but is not confirmed - Mumbai guys please help. I live in a small town that is 120 kms from Ahmedabad and hence can't just go to the restaurant and get the pics)
As far as this restaurant is concerned.... Its fantastic.... Amazing ambience, Amazing Staff & Service.... & above all Best Gujarati Food I have ever tasted....
Cleanliness and Brightness of the restuarant is really good.
First thing that will widen your eyes is that it has very small menu... Only authentic gujarati food, no fast food, no chinese, no punjabi.... only authentic gujarati food....
My favourite dishes are "panki chatni", "dhansak rice" and "bajra rotis (Rotla)" with "batata nu shak" with a side order of "chaas (Butter Milk)" each.
The panki chatni, my favorite dish at Swati Snacks, is a lightly flavored rice pancake which comes with green chutney. It was hot, fragrant and delicious. I highly recommend it. Dhansak flavored rice and roti are also very good, with very distinct flavors of its own. Later we tried Jalebi that was mighty appetizing.
Each dish cost between 50 - 75 rupees, which is a bit steep considering the kind of food and the quantity offered. But make no mistake, the taste and the quality more than make up for the price.
