Akash food corner:bang outside andheri station(w) in front of BEST depot/mc donalds.Serves really fiery chola-pattice but its fun.Price hiked from 15 to 18 to 20 to 25 in last few years.It has a huge crowd and the touts hired by shop will point you where to park vehicle and all.They serve them chola-pattice wid curd and cucumber.Down your chola -pattice wid a glass of juice.
2]Sandwiches:
NOTE:I never try out masala toasts anywhere except at mamajis @tardeo and narayan@andheri coz the stuffing they put inside the sandwiches is gauranteed fresh and tasty.Tried and tasted for years.
Narayan sandwich corner:At andheri station ask for chinai college which is two minute ride from andheri station east.U reach a small galli which is one way [
].Ask for any shop for narayan sandwich walla they will point you to the place.There is a big crowd out side this thela and the fella has deviced some assembly line kinda stuff to dish out his supreme masala toast sandwiches.Order a cheese masala toast and dabble it wid sauce thing he serves.Its fantastic.

3]Mysore Masala:
Just next to narayan sandwich is anna's thela which serves masala dosa.Order the mysore masala dosa and it would be priced 25 bucks(more than any decent eatery) but it would be the best mysore masala you had in your life/mumbai.This place is frequented by gujjus/jains nearby and you can order stuffings to suit your beliefs.
4] Dabeli:
Bang in front of annas thela/Narayan sandwich in andheri east is kapil debeli corner.This fella is in limca book of records for dishing out the fastest dabelis.Unfortunately Kapil doesnt sit there any more since he is a star and owns a chain of dabeli thelas.Anyways dabelis are tasty and have a generous serving of butter
5]Wada Pav:
This is the staple food of mumbai.The best wada pav in mumbai comes from a thela not a restaurant.Take the caddel road after crossing siddhivinayak temple.Take the second left turn while heading due north.Else ask anyone where is keerti college.This place is really close to keerti college and u can any college fella over there where is wada-pav wala.He charges 8 bucks per wada pav and you will have to wait for some time before your order gets honoured
6]Pav Bhaji:
This food is synoymous wid mumbai.There are two places which serve good pav-bhaji.One is shiv-sagar hotel in vile parle(east).The quality has gone down over years and this place might have parking woes.
Another place is amar juice center close to cooper hospital on JVPD road(juhu).This is kind of drive-in place where u can park your car close to restaurant and mostly u wont get a place to sit.U wait for a while in your car and a waiter will approach you and take orders.The pavs in pav bhaji are buttered generously so make sure you take a lotsa tissues to wipe your hands.Sit in you car and enjoy the food wid nice music and AC
