Eneloop is good only if you don't take photographs for months. Other wise normal 2100-2500mah Uniross batteries are the best as even they hold charge for month or two. As for chargers, Uniross ones are the best as well, you can get fast chargers which charge the batteries in 8 hours to even 15minutes depending on the model and cost, usually these chargers come with one or two pairs of AA batteries.
Make sure you don't buy the charger + battery which costs around 500-600 bucks as it is a slow charger and takes almost 14-16hours to charge the batteries. |

Fast chargers reduce the number of recharges that a cell will take in it's lifetime. Choose one with due care.

I agree, best to go for a 4-8 hour charger. Would be good enough for majority of the situations. As for buying it, go to Nehru Place and check out the office supply stores at the ground floor there.

yeah, center point is the place to go. stodgy, busy, stiff, but quality stuff, no cheating there and variety too.

Sanyo Sanyo, go for Sanyo. Have been using them for a long time and no issue till now. And better go for normal charger instead of the quick one.

Sanyos, as I have experienced has bad low temperature performance compared to Uniross. I won't suggest Sanyo unless you don't mean to use it in near freezing temperatures.
