Book Review: Outlook Traveller 52 weekend breaks from Delhi
Outlook Traveller's 52 weekend breaks from Delhi was the first travel guide I bought when I started touring. It covers places of interest in Uttaranchal, Himachal, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Ladakh. Providing details regarding best time to visit, places of interests in and around destination, route details, small maps, time need to reach a particular destination through various forms of transport, mode of transportation available etc.

With an MRP of Rs. 200 it is certainly value for money, however there are few things I don?t like about this book.

The guide itself is not quite sturdy and pages become loose due to the binding done on the book.

Another thing I don?t like is the fact that hotels listed in the guide are a bit pricey for travelers on budget.

Apart from the above listed flaws I found this guide to be quite useful while planning journeys involving bikes or public transport due to information provided not only regarding the routes, but also the details of public transport options available.

Out of 10 I would rate this guide at 7

umm.. why not LP India? I've found it to be the best gyaan source on India, bar none. Just xerox the pages u need to carry - imo it beats atleast the outlook traveller mumbai edition hands down as a collectible!

LP is good from the info that I got, but shelling out 1k for a travel guide when you can do a 2 day 1 night trip to Himachal for 1.2k is a bit expensive.

Nai Sadak hai na.....

You can get this real cheap there.....

how about a meet dedicated to Nai Sadak? Lets invest a day for some paper gyaan. I am planning to go there for quite some now, but couldn't materialize it.
