I am looking to buy a Cramster Turtle bag here in Mumbai. Though it can be ordered online, i wanted to have a feel of this before i buy one. Google suggested this site http://www.adventure18.com/customers...hp?contactID=3
Hey thanks Lavina!
I'd called the Adventure18, and before i could call Smart Designs, the guy from smart designs himself called me up. The Adventure18 guy had forwarded my number to him..
I purchased the DSG Nero and DYNA along with the Cramster Tank Bag from Smart Designs.
They are a bunch of friendly people out there and the service is fantastic.. The shop also has a lot of variety.. Besides Jackets and all that - they have some very useful stuff.. like pumps.. stoves.. other trekking equipment and all that.. Actually almost everything you would really need on your first few trips..
BTW the Tank bag is extremely good but definitely comes with a few quirks..
It is just not water proof.. Maybe water resistant.. but totally not water proof.. so it comes with this funny kind of built in cover with is not really easy to use and fold.. Making it completely water proof would be really helpful.. (but then I believe would be higher costing then)..
Also.. if the Tank bag is filled.. completely filled (it has those zips to increase the capacity).. then taking tight turns becomes an issue.. Not that you can't turn.. but it surely gets uncomfortable..
Overall.. the bag is a blessing.. Worth.. It's difficult to order online.. without actually seeing the product.. I agree.. but with this - you can just go ahead without thinking twice..!!
I had to choose between a saddle bag and a tank bag. I chose tank bag because i probably don't have as much stuff to carry in the saddle bag (of'course apart from fact that it comes at almost double the price). Would it still be recommended?
