I have TWO Bravos (silver/black) - one owned, one company gifted
Bherry naish. Decent stuff should you not want to buy AGVs.
@Sparsh: Lenses come in different varieties. I use monthly contacts nowadays which cost me about 1000-1100 for 8-9 months. (Use over 45 days, with every sixth day no lenses to allow eyes to be a bit freer). They are quite soft.
Earlier, I had PureCon GMD3 lenses ('03-'06) which are annual lenses - about 900-1000 for a pair that has full UV, high water content (~55%) and some other thingamajigs I dont recall.
The issues that one experiences in initial days:
a. Dryness - This is part percieved, part real. Lenses being put on eyes, reduces the tear supply to eyes. With good high water content lenses, that is not an issue. However, in first few days, you tend to feel it a bit.
b. Higher senstivity to light: This is again something you just need to live through (happens to some). Wear sunglasses (you anyways need them to protect your eyes from dust) if you go out in those days.
c. Watering: Partly due to sensitive eyes, dust, cheaper lens (low water content) and partly because your eyes have never had lenses - they tend to react almost as if it were a speck of dirt - they water copiously. Couple of days and things should be just fine.
Over time, both issues reduce in intensity, and go away in like a week or two. You have to persist - like the first time, it took me 1.5 hours to put the lenses, nowadays <2 mins
Instead, try wearing them on weekend mornings only for a coupla weekends, and then see how your eyes get used to the freedom and comfort. Due to specs, our heads move in response to the environment, not our eyes, as is natural. Wearing lenses, brings back the flexibility, albeit with a initial disorientation.
