These jackets are worn by army at leh ,kargil, etc. As per army norms each jacket is disposed by them every year and new jackets are given to them....

These jackets are layered jackets and can be bought at dirt cheap prices.

You will get these at army disposal areas i got it from Pathankot in Punjab ,Besides jackets you can get Duck Feather sleeping bags , High ALtitude tents ( only 4 men ) at dirt cheap cost ,

Also you will get snow shoes as well but one condition is you have t bargain and choose your size, i'm going again to pathankot to get stuff for my kit ready for touring , if intertested i can things check for you too

Do they offer protection ?

I believe cramster one besides providing protection against wind and rain also provide basic protection in the unfortunate case of falling .. what abt these army jackets ?? What are they called should one wish to get it from some contact in army ?

Any store keeping cramster stuff in delhi ?

@ Himanshu : You can get Cramster products at Adventure18 store in Satya Niketan, the colony opppsite Venky College.

I got my Cramster boots, gloves and tankbag from that place.

Coming from AIIMS, turn left towards Venky College and keep an eye on the left side. Its the last corner of that colony and the shop is in basement.

They have got some other usefull stuff for camping and trekking as well.

Its a personal feeling mate, some prefer Cramster and some go for DSG.

DSG Nero and Cramster Pulse are almost same (atleast thats what I felt) in terms of weight fitting etc.

Cramster K2 definitely felt to be a product superior to DSG Nero or their own Pulse. Rest depends on personal choice and preference.

I went to Adventure18 2-3 months back and at that time they were fresh with separation from DSG. If somebody wants DSG, they can go Bittoo Suzuki Showrrom (not the Bittoo Bike Wala in Lajpat Nagar though the owner is the same) in Lajpat Nagar. I got a pair of gloves (DSG Primal) from them.

They charged me the list price of Rs2499 + VAT (12.5%) + 2% for credit card payment. In total it cost me Rs2870. They have limited range of boots from Alpinestars and AXO. Jackets from DSG and few from Alpinestars too.
