Awesome is the word.

It will work for prosumers too. their lens bit will just jut out - which is okay - this DIY isnt anyways weather/fall proof

That's what I did. Setting up the cam mount takes 5 mins at max.

Thanks Tao. If you want to make it fall proof, attach the camera strap to something. Of course, if you fall with the bike, then god save the cam (and you too) Weather proofing is simple... put a waterproof polythene cover over the RVM. Ofcourse weatherproofing while camera still being operational would be a challenge.

pulsurge, nice videos. But I wouldn't recommend taping a cam to a body part without proper cushioning to absorb vibrations. May be fine wilth cell phones, but cams that have optical zoom can end up with a misaligned lense.

SOT, I'll need a cam before I can make a mount for that.

Salil,

Great idea. Maybe we can consider using an extra RVM mount, so we dont compromise on safety. I guess one of those old Bullet type mounts, which are not housing the clutch/front brake lever would be ideal. This would also eliminate the need for swapping.

What do you think??

Cheers,
Rajan

Default Nice videos

The videos have come out really well

The Binsar looks like you were on a moped! ) I know the dry leaves scare me too (a little bit), a little of the track while cornering and your rear wheel dances with the leaves!

The second one is good!

Yes, I had thought of that before, and am on the lookout for just the right mirror mount.
