apart from GPR Helmets rest of the stuff is quite costly compared with riding gear/tyres/filters etc. available with KRP

Angels racing is there, but again expensive. Khushi is okay, not really up to the mark but decent enough.

Here's my recipe to make your own armored jacket!!

Actually, for the penny pinchers, who want to make their own jackets,
here's my suggestion:

Get a jacket made of parachute material.
Get pockets in arms and back with zips/velcro.

Get the material used to make shoe soles (places like karol bagh in
delhi have it enough)
Get the material cut out to make an insert and put in the material.

I've got that kinda jacket made here:
http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/2812/xdam6va.jpg

You can make the elbow guards by buying 70-80 bucks worth of skating
guards from big bazaar. The back pocket needs the shoe sole material.

I was gonna fit it all together but then i got my USD 60 fieldsheer :P

Total cost:
Rs 120-180 (2-3m for jacket)
Rs 300-500 (stitching - u need to find someone who stitches bags)
Rs 80 (elbow insert)
<Rs 100 (back insert)

In all, within 600-900 bucks, you can make your own jacket. Won't be
the sexiest, or the easiest to wash, but will by far be durable and
cheap.

The above design is basically a variation of what Doc arn himself
uses, and ideas stolen from my fieldsheer (the back insert)

i don't know of that. but i saw the KRP store on xbhp.com. it has hardly got any stuff to sell so someone from delhi will have to vouch for them. the only common item i found of both were boots and KRP sells SIGMA and planetdsg.com sells SIDI and AXO

hi guys , i am ronit from pune.its good to see a site for touring only. great going yogesh.

its really amusing to see that guys wanna make their own jacket i visit the dreambikes/dream sporting gear regularly(reason : to see tha new bikes ) . i have been to KRP too but when i compare KRP AND DSG what i found is that KRP has got very limited stock and most of which is bangkok stuff. everytime i go to the DSG store i find some thing new to buy . they have got ASTARS, AXO,ACERBIS,FOX and own brand DSG. they generally dun keep low end stuff(these guys did the bikes in DHOOM1 & DHOOM2) so if you guys are looking for cheap stuff this not the place for you but the price of the branded stuff is nearly equivalent to anywhere in the world.

I don?t really care about brands so cant comment on it, however I have been to KRP a few times and their stuff is good and appears to be appropriately priced when you compare it with stuff from Kushi marketing Delhi.

As for DSG I would have to take your words for it since I have never seen their stuff in person.

Ronit welcome to BCMTouring, please do tell us a little about yourself in the Intro Section
