Shoes to commute in?
Guys,

I commute atleast 40km a day on my p180. Problem is that enroute i offroad for some 3-4km daily else will get stuck ten mins extra in traffic - the parking has lotsa dust too.

So, kindly suggest some affordable shoe brand (~2k types) that can handle all the dust and still be presentable in office.

What i'm currently using is a red tape.

Plus need to operate outta 1-2 offices, so cant wear riding boots to office and keep a formal shoe there.

Re: Shoes to commute in?
But is he looking for a formal shoe or dress shoe?
No.
He's looking for a 'smart' shoe.
Red Tape, Woodlands, Lotus Bawa, Caterpillar etc.. all have something that might fit the bill.
I would expect it should be a full leather upper (of smooth leather) and a good hefty PU/PVC/rubber sole.

Re: Shoes to commute in?
anup saab has it pretty much down.

Plus I have an additional requirement - I CANT take shoes with laces since i have perspiring feet - so I like the slipon variety. My current one is like this:

the only problem is that it loves to take on dirt in the sole area, which gets in the grooves and cant be removed easily.

ideas?

Re: Shoes to commute in?
Go for BATA's Good Old Standard Leather Design... Its rock solid, looks formal too, costs around 1k and would outlast you...

Opps I forgot you didn't want the lace type shoes... Other wise this is the cheapest and best...

This is a very tough condition! Your choices get severely limited.
I have mastered the art of tying my shoelaces to just the correct degree to make my shoes behave like slip-ons (or slip-offs)! I re-do my shoelaces approx once in 2 months.

Re: Shoes to commute in?
Carry dress shoes in your bag and wear woodland trekking shoes, change them in the parking
