You may try out the Wildcraft place

GetOffUrAss in Indira Nagar.
@ 472, Sri Krishna Temple Road
Indira Nagar 2nd Stage
Bangalore
Ph : 51161600

I have purchased my backpack from there and they have some good stuff. In worst case they are still in the best position to guide you to the right vendor.

No idea about stuff from trekker point, however Ferrino tents and sleeping bags that we saw at Carabin were really good and compact. Gas cylinder was good and priced quite alright, however the burner is too expensive.

I have been to trkkers point a few times and have checked the sleeping bag and other stuff myself.

And the stuff from Lafuma is GOOD.... it is a more recognised brand across the world but the only fight is that the prices are too high for first timers like us.

So in my opinion the stuff from Carabin is perfect, also it helps to know the guy from some time.

There is another place in Delhi where a lot of Adventure gear is available:
Adventure 18
18, Satya Niketan
New Delhi. Tel No: 011 26878888
It is near Dhaula Kuan, just opposite Venky collage.

I had picked up a Lafuma sleeping bag for Rs. 1800 last year and used it for my Leh trip. Picked up a 4 person waterproof tent just last week for Rs. 4000/-.

They have also been showing some interest in stocking motorcycle riding gear. I really hope they do as other than KRP riding gear is just not available in Delhi. Of course Bittoo biskwallah has just taken the delearship for Alpinestar but then the jackets start fron around Rs. 10,000-11,000/-

Will have to check the literature and tell you but had bought it because was planning to do Kaza this month and the guy at the store said that it sould do for the summer months up there. It is of Lafuma. The warmth ofcourse comes from the sleeping bag. About the strenght - it looks quite strong. It weights about 4.5 Kg. Has aluminum rods and some metal clamps to clamp it to mother earth.

He also had some winter weather snow tents from Lafuma for about Rs. 9,000-10,000.

Please specify the product code of the Lafuma sleeping bag. Also the temperature range of the same.
