Default Delhi – Jaipur

Destination: Jaipur

Route: Delhi – Gurgaon – NH-8 – Shahpur – Jaipur

Distance: 270 kms

Type of destination: single day/ weekend getaway

Description: The city of pink and forts, Jaipur provides an old world charm with its numerous forts, and is a photographers dream come true.

Places to visit:
Nahargarh fort, Jal mahal, Hawa mahal and various other forts that surround this vibrant city.

Tips:
Delhi – Jaipur highway (NH-8) is super smooth and four lanes for most of the part. There are several eateries and petrol pumps along the way and if one is in mood it can be covered in less than four hours leaving ample time for a day’s excursion in Jaipur.

^^^^pretty strange. Which mobile handset do you have?

Jokes apart, there might be some 'pockets' en route where there are no mobile signals; I have NEVER EVER faced any such problems with my Hutch/Vodafone in my last 10-15 trips to Jaipur, even with my previous crappy LG phone.

@YS: You may also include City Palace (residence for the royal family of Jaipur) as a must to see in Jaipur and there is a handicraft shop/factory near the City Palace that is owned by the Royal Family itself and you can a hell lot of variety of handicraft material from that place at a very reasonable price, including the famous Jaipur Rajai that is very light weight yet so comfortable and cozy in winters.
