Default Delhi – Vrindavan

Destination: Vrindavan

Route: Delhi – Faridabad – Palwal – Kosi – Vrindavan (NH-2)

Distance: 150kms

Type of Destination: Day trip/weekend getaway

Description: Vrindavan is famous for Hindu temples and is a famous destination for Hindu pilgrims, yet it offers an old world charm to photographers and one can spend entire day photographing various temples in Vrindavan.

Places to visit: Madan Mohan temple, Sri Krishna-Balrama Temple, Banke-Bihari Temple among the numerous temples that can be found in Vrindavan. One can also visit Mathura which is located 15kms from Vrindavan.

Tips: Roads are generally good throughout, however it is best to leave early in the morning to escape rush hour traffic. Photography is not allowed in Sri Krishna-Balrama Temple; however one can indulge in photography at Banke-Bihari Temple, where only taking the photo of idols is not allowed. Don’t forget to indulge in the wonderful sweets that can found in the numerous sweetshops near Banke-Bihari Temple.

lol, well like all Hindu religious places in India, Vrindavan too has plenty of monkeys but I didn't spot any of them creating a nuisance there.
