Another place worth visiting is Dakshai.... at the same altitude as Kasauli.... is a very small town settled around a school, the climb is very steep amist the pines....
route : Don't take the left for Kasauli from Dharampur, continue straight and shortly after crossing take the right for Dakshai which is another 2 -3 kms from there.

I like to think of Kasauli as my home away from home. And seriously, that place is just beautiful.Dagshai is primarily a military cantonment and as far as I remember there were no staying places, but its worth a small visit anyway.

Kasauli is a part of my childhood. I went there around 10 years ago on a family trip. Stayed @ a resort of L&T then.

Back in those days, it was one of those beautiful places left untouched by commercialization. Not to mention, got bit by "Bicchu Buty" there

The radars @ monkey points were amazing to watch at that time.
