Hi Yogesh,

I am really happy or rather amazed to see such an interactive and organized forum. I appreciate the effort you and all the other members are putting in here. All the best!

About me, well, I am a casual traveller belonging to Uttrakhand and working in Bangalore. Visiting Ladakh is in my mind since last year. Finally I am planning for my trip there either July end or first week of August.

I will for sure have many queries once I start drafting my itinerary.I wasn't so sure till now but after going through different forums, I am excited to plan my trip.

I will post into the relevent thread for the all my concerns.

Cheers,
Varun.

Since I am going to Zanskar, I am thinking of starting around 3pm from Leh and reaching Lamayuru or any other small town by 6-7pm, and then starting for Panikhar around 8am next morning(equivalent to 5am start from Leh)
A quick question, the travel guide mentions Lamayuru guest houses.
How are they?
Are there many of them, and is there a JK tourism guest house nearby?
