Yeah you shall have to be really careful while choosing it. You can get tips from expert and regular bikers like yogesh, shamik, hitanshu .......
I would even suggest novice riders to learn some basics of repairing from your local mechanic before leaving for the trip.

I don't think any of the bikers here or anywhere would venture this. Going to K-Top on Pillion!!! You shouldn't have done it in first place. Strictly follow 1 guy = 1 bike (especially for rented bikes).

You are really lucky. I am sure bike wouldn't give problem this time as the road is smooth and at quite low altitude comparatively. Don't forget to experience "Magnetic Hill".

Yeah they suggest not to use bikes on trip to Pangong Tso but that is their view, lot many bikers have achieved it and if you ride with decipline I don't think that would be that tough.

Hi ...very useful info....thanks....I plan to go with my frens but cant decide when. Is September a good month to visit or would it be too cold? We will travel from Delhi and we have a max of ten days for the trip. I would like to cover at least one or two good destinations in Ladakh. Kindly advise which places should we cover given the time frame?

September is a good month, in fact I love going in September. are you guys planning to travel by road or by plane, if by road are you going to be using your own vehicle (car/motorcycle) or public transport?

Yes! That means where ever they encounter hills, they will have to wait for a tunnel to be built

That route does not exists as per my knowledge, you shouldn't really be using Google Maps for planning your trip, they are highly inaccurate, when it comes to remote regions.
