DRIVOBLOG® | Kalyani - An Incomplete Dream in the Lost Rural Confines of West Bengal
Circa 1983
I clearly remember the word I first heard in 1983 when I was just about 5 years old and was gifted a toy train (one of those EMU) on which the word Kalyani was written. Circa 2009 Never in the decade that I stayed in Kolkata, could I visit Kalyani. I always knew it is truly an amazingly well formatted township lost in the deep rural confines of West Bengal. Kalyani comes with KMDA Limits and the Kalyani Expressway has been maintained by KMDA. Once upon a time Kalyani used to be a Military Airbase during the Second World War. |
