PS : I notice you are in jeans in such heavy snow. didnt you carry snow proof pants ?? No gaiters ?

oh i was wearing cargos, and inners inside..proved good enough, no gaiters though..i had snow all inside my feet..my feet froze off (not literally but..cold from snow) the shoe laces opened sometime and i could not retie them as they had frozen..

but at the end after 14-16 kms everthing thawed down and i washed them with hot water

i also had my riding jacket inners...worked very well

oh yes sir! i was preparing for it for a month..jogging and all..that helped ..but it still took lotsa hard work..i wish i could embed those Videos to give you an idea..you can see them on my photostream though ..but you might have to be patient as they are long
