This is an account of 5 English men and their trip to the highest motorable road in the world. On our travels through Northern India we had a great time and met some truly nice people (particularly a group of 6 Indians that were on a similar route that helped us on a couple of occasions). The website was done by one of our group and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Ratkesh ,Himalayas are known as land of superlatives
and India is a land of contrasts even a lifetime is not enough to see all its shades... I will read your ride story and then post comments Regards Vishwa |

Very nice, Ratkes. Englishmen are known for their subtle sense of humor and you live upto it. BTW, I met 3 english guys on their Enfields on 10th June 2009 enroute Pangong Tso. I guess a lot of people around the world want to be Leh'd, and make it through the World's highest motorable road.
Check out my triplog. I did the Delhi-Leh-Delhi circuit in 8 days. I actually clicked on the pic to see the facilities on your Drass hotel, |

Ratkes, thanks for sharing this link. That is a wonderful travelogue, written quite candidly too!
Strange as it may seem, most of us here agree completely with what has been written and a lot which has not been written but comes through clearly anyway! Yet, we can't do a thing about any of it! That's the enigma .....

An excellent read! Just a question - the name of the Hotel in Leh would be Omasila, not Osmala?
