Because as such, there is no parking lot at Rohtang Pass for hundreds of vehicles which visit it daily during season. Due to this, people have to park on the side of the road and a few fools, also park their vehicles in the middle of the road. Add to that, en route to Rohtang, BRO is continuously working on the road and since road is sinking at a few places and landslides are a common thing, they at times have to do blasting or clear the road, which takes time and results in a jam. At times the vehicles break down or get stuck en route and that too contributes towards jam.
