Did'nt you guys take diamox?? wat was the real rush were u doing cannon ball run?? (just a question) as some people were not feeling good. AMS?? (not good)

Please name the Hotel where you had your stuff stolen so that we strike it out from our list.

How cold was it there?? went below 0???
and that river crossing i see with scorpio? do u have to cross it? (dont think bikes can take that much water and hard to stay upright?)

We took diamox religioulsy, half tab morning & half in night. We also drank plain & glucose water alternately every half an hour. Cannon ball was not intentional. We had less days in hand, with one day already wasted in Manali-Rohtang La Jam of 7-8 hrs. Didnt want to just touch Leh & return back. If it had been me alone, I would have prefered to take another day to do the route & miss on may be Nubra. My midset is so as I keep on reading & discussing such issues here on BCMT. But the group was more of tourist like mindset who wanted to touch all the places in this single visit. As far as health is concerned, it was only vomits which can happen with anyone (mainly females) on any curvy route. Yes, the driver caught fever as he didnt dress properly & was only in T-Shirt at BarlachLa. I repeatedly asked him to cover properly, mainly ears, but he didnt listen & faced consequences. No AMS attack to anyone.

Temperature was not too low in day time but the winds were chilling. At Passes it was beating cold due to winds. At Tanglang La the temperature was sub Zero, we crossed it too late in the evening. Yes the water streams on road have to be crossed. & there are many such streams in the route.

Rahul don't worry, such water crossings are easily crossable on motorcycle. They just look scary, all one needs to do is keep the revs up and let the momentum do the rest.
