She was either from Russia or from an Eastern European country, this much I could say just be looking at her face, of course her broken English which somewhat resembled that of Russians (have worked in a call center and seen plenty of Hollywood movies ).

As for eyes getting unlocked, well that only happened after she asked where the reception was , her boyfriend was kind of hiding away, standing 8-10 feet behind her and it wasn’t until she headed towards the caretakers room, that I spotted him.

I just climbed up Pensi La, to watch Drang Drung glacier. Does it qualify as being to Zanskar?

Dad has been vegetarian for over 40 years and no else in the family eats non-veg food. I used to eat eggs, but have stopped eating those over a year back.

Good thing! Veggie is the "in" thing these days anyway. I try to, but very difficult

After saying goodnight to him, I went back to the guest house. As I was reviewing photographs, someone knocked on my door! I wasn’t expecting someone to come knocking on my door at 9:30pm and when I answered the door, I saw a beautiful Russian girl standing at the front, our eyes locked and she said, “where is the reception?”, I pointed her towards it and while she went to it, followed by her boyfriend who was standing 8-10 feet behind her, I went back to reviewing the photographs .

Tomorrow I would bid farewell to Padum and Zanskar Valley.
Any hint of Vodka in the air?
