Pahalgam, J&K. (July 2007)
Again, only a photo-log, not purporting to be anything else! Pahalgam, in my opinion, is a strong rival to Sonamarg. It offers extraordinary beauty, with the Lidder river flowing through it, and it has a good sized bazaar, many hotels, cyber-cafes, restaurants etc... And if you want to be away from it all, that is also entirely possible. It is a huge valley with enough privacy for everyone. Absolute must-see! ______________________ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And a little clip from here: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There are some more photos in the Hotels section. I use a simple point and shoot camera (Sony DSC-T7 - yes it does have a tiny little lens buried in it somewhere!). Couldn't even be bothered about a tripod! (Salil will be horrified!).AND all the photos are utterly non-photoshopped! Last edited by anupmathur; 06-12-07 at 11:15 AM. |

Beautiful photos. What software do you use to resize the images? I see too many jagged edges in your photos.

Sirjee aapne hamari yaadein taaza kar di hain. i was at pahalgam in 2006 and as you said it is a must see place for a traveller. Have you been to Baisaran park and Kashmir valley points on pony, its really enthralling. We visited only day trip from Srinagar, but i m very much eager to go there again. Could you please tell some budget hotels rents. You may try Photscape software.
