Default The Spiti Marathon

This just had to happen! It was a matter of when, not how!

So one fine wednesday night, post a reprimand from me seniors back in office, i gulped down a red-bull, ate some energy bars and saddled up my extreme, to ride out to kaza. I had a long night and then a long day ahead!

Day 1: (Better as night 1): Picked up some tools, spares, jockeys and dumped them in the saddle bags, a couple of fags and some energy drinks later, i rode off, time being recisely 12 am. Stopped enroute at Narkanda, Powari and Sumdo for red bull et-al! Reached Kaza around 6 pm the same day. Visited Tabo and Geyu (of the mummy fame)

Day 2: Visited Key,Kibber and loitered around Kaza, devouring german delicacies and puffing the ''forbidden"! Coincidently met Shamik at Kibber.

Day 3: Shamik and I started off at 6 in the morning from Kaza. Got to Losar in a couple of hours. Then rode on to the main reason I did this trip, Kunzum La! Was immensly satisfied, post kunzum. Rode on till manali via batal, chota dhara, chattru and gramphoo!

Wondefully horrible roads! Off-roading here was awesome. Good enough to put Koksar-Leh to shame..

Reached Manali at around 8 pm where Shamik decided to stay back and I decided to head to chandigarh. Another red-bull, another explosion of KCal, saw me leaving manali at 2030 hours.7 and a half hours later I was snoring heavily on my pad back in panchkula!

Would post the details and all the pics later. In the meanwhile enjoy the following teasers

Welcome back Vaibhav, you guys are lucky to have encountered such nice weather. In 2007, I was wearing a sweatshirt till I reached Losar!

And I literally had to shove my hand on the silencer to warm it up as it was freezing
