Day 3: Khajuraho, Jain Temples and Museum

Now it was time to head to the Jain Temples, located in old Khajuraho.

Now I am going to keep commentary quite less in this part, since there is dispute over which temple is which (going by ASI guidebook and signs in front of the temples).

First off was the Adinatha Temple, which is the largest of the Ancient Jain Temples in Khajuraho.

Apart from the primary statue and a few statues outside, it is almost the same as the Western Group of Temples, as far as statues and various other construction features go. Barring the windows, which Jain group of Temples does not have, while the Hindu ones do.

Next up was another ancient Jain Temple, the name of which I do not know about. I guess it was the Santinatha Temple. Statue inside that temple:

A new Jain Temple

Next up was the Parsvanatha Temple, which strangely had to board for Adinatha Temple!

With the light turning harsher by the moment and not enough space for photography, I decided to move out. Stopping for a short while at the Jain Temple Museum, which essentially contains relics from the Jain Group of Temples.

Once out of Jain Temples, I asked for directions to other temples and headed off to the Duladeo Temple...
