er ... ahem ... I allow myself to be dragged into the courtroom here and be accused to being a 'Horny Person' myself (not in more ways than one, mind you ;) ).
I use the horn, while touring or while riding in some sorta formation to convey pre-defined signals. Phew, managed to crawl outta that one.
Another use of the horn, a criminal offense this time, is teaching a lesson to other horny people in probably the same fashion as the Ed's friend. See, what irritates me is that people in this country learn to use the horn before the learn to drive. Let's be honest here, how many times have you visited a showroom and are in the process of being brainwashed by the sales guy, that you have heard a horn go off ?
Also, beg to differ on the trucker's point with Ed. I have heard the most annoying horns used by truckers. They try to go all musical but and up sounding like Cacaphonix (read Astrix and Obelix ?). Some have horns installed in them made for the sole purpose of scaring the bajeeses out of a person. They are loud and full of threat. Not surprisingly, the trucks which usually have these horns, have the quietest engines and love to sneak up on you while you are trying to look for the bag of chips lying around somewhere in the car .
While we are on the topic, how about discussing the clutch/brake padel noise which is usually the Dhoom Machale song ?

In a country like india, there are so many pigheaded people are driving on the road without no sense of fellow commuters.so you have no other way, other than using the horn to make yourway.

I use horn a lot,not bcoz i like using it,but to make way.or else someone will taking in mobile while driving car,or someone maybe staring the hoardings or posters,or maybe chatting with billion rider.

In india sensitive people are less in numbers.atleast on the road.
