Yesterday when I was on my way to Noida to attend the get-together, I saw a guy riding a Honda Unicorn and on the rear side panel it had Honda Unicorn 180 written in big letters. Now it could be that the person got it bored out to 180cc or it might have been a prototype from Honda and that chap was a test rider. But some how I have a gut feeling it was nothing but a counterpart of all the Bajaj Hondas and Ducati Adrino’s we come across on the street everyday.

Which really make me wonder at the sensibility of the owner of these motorcycles. After all putting Suzuki Hayabusa sticker on a Hero Honda Passion doesn’t dilutes the fact that it’s a 100cc 4st commuter, with top speed less than what a Hayabusa can touch in its first gear, neither does it give it any power boost.

This is where the picture gets even murkier and funny, there are people who put “Japanese Language Characters” on their motorcycles as well, ala Hayabusa. Only Japanese people and god know what they mean, because most of the fellows making them don’t even know English let alone Japanese.

It is even worse when people with stock bikes put these stickers; ok I am not in favor of those cheap looking modified craps that look like Chinese toys or Frankenstein on wheels, but those fellas are at least trying to make it look the part hence the sticker job. But the people like that Honda Unicorn rider, well what can I say. He had probably spent more on that stupid sticker job than on the helmet he was wearing.

Or maybe I am wrong with all this and this kind of sticker job does enhances power of the motorcycle by couple of BHP’s like the 2 BHP gain a person gets from the batman number plate and the unlimited mental BHP gain one gets from all those loud tin can exhausts.

So if you are interested in either of these than go ahead and put them on, it will give me and my buddies some thing laugh about…
