Hello.
I'm planning a bike trip from Mumbai to Spiti - Killar - Kishtwar starting 15th June ex-Chandigarh. (Mumbai to Chandigarh is flexible to riders' convenience).
I'm concerned about being able to cross Kunzum pass, around 20th-21st June 2018.
Should I expect it opened by then, or better shift the dates by a week or so?
Thanks in advance.

I think Kunzum pass should definitely be open by 20th June.

Hello Everyone.
Kindly advise whether WagonR or Scorpio will make it till Kaza in last few days of February.
I am planning for a solo trip.

Both will make it just fine, as long as they are in good condition. In case there is heavy snowfall, then Scorpio with snowchains will be a better bet.
Both will do in case the roads are clear. In any case please keep snowchains as well.
Thank you so much.
I want to go in WagonR as it would be more adventurous in a 1.8 Lac old hatch.

Leaving on 27 morning from Shimla.
Any staying option? In case better half accompanies.

Staying options would be very limited to homestays in Nako, Tabo and Kaza.. Please be prepared for dry/open/pit type toilets as there would be no running water. Also, if you have option of scorpio, take that. With snowchains it will be better option in case there is heavy snowfall. While it will be adventurous to go in 1.8L old wagonR, in case there is a breakdown help would be literally non existent in winters. If your better half is accompanying you then please choose a reliable vehicle.
Whatever car you take, keep it stocked with food and water and ensure to carry extra fuel as there is only one pump in spiti in Kaza and its reliability is uncertain. Carry a postpaid BSNL/MTNL number which would work in larger parts of Spiti.
Keep a few days in buffer and also keep an eye on weather.
