Ladakh To Back in North India
All the traffic is coming back via Leh - Manali Route.
People are getting lost in no network area.
Don't panic.
All the traffic is going by Leh- Manali Route.
Hence delay on this route is possible.
Jispa is the point where network is working.
Leh and Ladakh also has mobile network working as heard.
Who ever reaches Leh from Manali side can connect back to family.

Kashmir Valley is almost cut off.
No outsider is allowed to enter there.

It is open.
Patchy at places.
More traffic on this route means delay possible.
Rest this is same as seen recently :

Please shed some light on current road condition between Gramphoo and Sarchu. I heard that there is still 4-5 feet snow on Baralacha Pass. If this is true, it means water crossings. Is this stretch doable in a hatchback and in ecosport as my cousin is planning for next week.
No snow on passes but very tricky sections before Sarchu.Did the route in my Duster yesterday.Ecosport will be okay.Wouldnt advise doing it on a hatch for peace of mind unless he is a local or has experience..Long sections of unpaved roads too will add to the agony.
Hi tomraven99, thanks for this precious information. How difficult it was in Duster ? was it 4x4 ? Any major water crossing ? what kind of trickyness before sarchu ? I shall be thankful if you please explain in detail.
Yes it's AWD..But lots of normal vehicles were doing it easily..There is section after barlacha la where rocks had fallen on the path..Some Swift's were having very tough time...Water crossings were easy for even hatch's..water level is low..Just keep momentum and observe the path which locals take..Some slush after Rohtang. Heavy fog on ascend to Rohtang..What I found most frustrating was long section of unpaved roads before pang..It's been the same almost 7 years ago when I did this route...Pang to Leh is good road..But don't spend too much time on high passes as AMS symptoms are common on this stretch

Chandigarh -Manali highway is said to be in a very bad condition in hilly areas. Closer and diversions due to heavy rains and landslides between Mandi-Manali.

I crossed Ambala at 7 in morning left Delhi at 3 am.
On way to Manali...
Till now all seems well...
Broken stretch in Mandi....
Then towards Kullu...... No fresh landslides....
Old landslides are being cleared....
No stoppages of traffic....
Shall reach Manali by 5pm....

A BCMTian in afternoon.
