You can find latest information on the road conditions / Requirements of Lahaul, Spiti and Sach Pass (Pangi Valley) in 2021. We will also keep this thread update with the news of tentative opening dates of Rohtang Pass, Kunzum La, Chandertal, Sach Pass & other Himachal Pradesh Roads. Shimla – Kaza (Spiti Valley) Road Status: Open, with travel advisory due to Covid-19

Rohtang Pass Road via Atal / Rohtang Tunnnel Status: OPEN
Rohtang Pass Road Status: CLOSED


Manali - Kaza Road Status ( via Atal / Rohtang Tunnel ) : CLOSED
Manali - Kaza Road Status ( via Rohtang and Kunzum): CLOSED

Manali - Lahaul Road Status: Open via Atal Tunnel

Chandertal Road Status: CLOSED


Sach Pass Road Status (Pangi Valley): CLOSED


RTPCR -ve Report - Required from 4 August 2021
RTPCR Required to enter Himachal Pradesh : YES
ePass Required : YES
Hotels check this even if they do not stop you at border.

RTPCR Report again required to enter Himachal Pradesh and HImalayan States- J&K / Uttarakhand as both states have joining border.

Yesterday, Jamaica (who owns a campsite at chandertaal) informed that

"Hi thanks for your query ,we are closed this year cos of covid ,I think road via kunzum will be open end of may or first week of June.
Sir then you also need negative report with you ,in kaza few hotels taking guest before ,now almost shut but few are taking guest ,mandala taking guest at the moment"

Sure dear! Sorry for late response.

We have planned to start on Jun 11 onwards. First priority to do Srinagar-leh circuit. 2nd would be Sach Pass - Udaipur - Spiti - Kinnaur.
Depending upon the covid guidelines, will take a call on Jun 06.

Hai bikers.........any body can suggest a bike rental in Shimla......reliable one for vehicles upto 220 cc and not more......would like to take shimla kaza manali shimla......before aug21......
