DAY 01
This is the start of a journey to a memorable road trip to Madhya Pradesh. Starting point of the journey is Delhi. The First day of the trip is from Delhi to Khajuraho.
The route I took is Delhi-Agra-Gwalior-Jhansi-Chhatarpur-Khajuraho. Started our journey at 7.00 AM and Reached Khajuraho at 9.00 PM. We did breakfast at the Food Court Mathura on Yamuna Expressway in Bikano Chaat Bhandar. This Food Court is at a perfect distance from delhi 150 Kms. We left at 9.30 AM from here and started our journey ahead.
After Mathura we took a break at a place which is 10 kms after Dholpur. This is a Bridge on Chambal River just beneath the Bridge is a great spot for having nice shots
on your camera. There are ravines all around with a chambal river gives a really nice view. Stayed there for about 20 mins.
We did our lunch at the Shubham Highway Treat (MP TOURISM) at around 1.00 PM which is at Gwalior Bypass. The food quality and Price both we good, I would recommend to have a meal there while travelling on this highway.
We ordered Dal Tadka and Kadai Paneer with chapati's.
After quickly having lunch we started our journey because still we have to cover around 300 Kms. The road till Jhansi was well tared and we covered this stretch really quick. Just after crossing Jhansi, We stopped at River Betwa, Notghat Bridge about 10 kms after Jhansi. The serenity of the Betwa River brought peace to our minds after this long journey till here.
The Road condition after this Betwa bridge is bad due to the road construction work. Road widening work is going on from this Jhansi till Khajuraho. These last 170 kms are not in good shape, It took a hell lot of time to cover this stretch, that's why we reached Khajuraho at 9 PM. So you can opt for other route which is from Etawah
side, I don't know about that route road condition, but that might be better than this route.
Toll Tax paid till Khajuraho - Rs 650 approx.
Distance Covered - 640 Kms
Hotel in Khajuraho - Surya Hotel Khajuraho Rs 1000 (Near Western Group Of Temples).
