Don't know if this is the right thread to post this. Still posting.
I tried to capture smoke from a fragrance stick (agarbatti).
But couldn't get anything better than the sample posted. Maybe I didn't put the light the correct way or what.
Saw a couple of youtube videos and they were using fast shutter speeds. I couldn't get anything lower than 3sec.

How can I improve!

Here are the setting used -
Cam - Nikon D320
kit lens - 18-55mm
f/5.6 - 3sec @ 55mm with ISO 100.

To capture smoke as you see with naked eyes , please keep shutter speed minimum 1/250 sec . You will need flash/light .

Actually, I tried. But the camera couldn't capture the smoke. I used an led torch beam to light up the smoke from the side. Maybe I wasn't using other settings properly or not lighting up the smoke strong enough.
