Hello all,

I am starting my Kinnaur trip on Monday. I understand all HRTC buses depart from Sector 43 bus stand. I am going by HRTC Chandigarh-Reckong peo bus.

My train will arrive at Ambala cantt junction. How do I reach to Sector 43 ISBT from there???...shared autos or public transport buses?...I am on low budget and don't want to take cab.

Please guide me.

Thanks

Regards

If there is any problem that is easy then this is it. Only one road separates station and bus stand. Cross it and you will realize that buses to Chandigarh go every 30 minutes. Just ask them which one goes to ISBT Sec. 43. Even if one does not directly go there, you should be able to find some CTU bus from where ever you get down in Chandigarh. I think these CTU buses have day passes nowadays (you may want to check the website) that will allow you infinite usage of these buses until you get to ISBT 43.

Most likely most Ambala-Chandigarh buses will either go to Sec. 43 or Sec. 17. If you get to Sec. 17 then you can take a bus (4-A) to Sec. 43. A lot of local CTU buses will take you to Sec. 17 (if you happen to drop somewhere else).

If you have an Android phone then you can download this app. and travelling on local buses will be no problem at all.
