Hi guys, I have deep interest in photography and I really love to click and share pictures. I don't own any high end equipment, no technical knowledge and no experiecne as such to be qualified as a photographer. But I am still deeply interested in clicking whatever I can. My so called photography equipment includes - a Nikon D3100 SLR, Sony W110 P&S and HTC One V mobile. In this thread I will be sharing some of my clicks which are taken by me and I will request you to please rate my photos/work out of 10 and please give me tips and tricks so that I can improve my work.

Some of my photos (these are only few select photos, rest photos are on my fb page)

Now how should I proceed further, how to improve my photos, Am I worth in photography?

if you are looking for critiques on the images.. then please post single image at a time.. its very difficult for me atleast to comment on each of the "N" number of images you have posted...

Very nice pics.
I am also new to photography and hence not in a position to provide any critique but to me all pics are looking nice except the "Mic." one and the birds one.
In the "mic." pic, you've kept the focus on the mic. but the mic is not in complete focus, it is appearing blurred.
And for the birds one, to me, it is looking like a plain snapshot, no contribution from photographers side.

Also, i liked your way of adding quotes with each photograph. :)

And, like pulsarider and anup sir said, post one pic at a time. It will be very difficult for people to carefully observe each and every pic and then providing their critiques on every pic.

Keep shooting :)

I can only comment technically. Compositionally, whatever looks appealing is fine ... and that is in the eye of the beholder :).

Firstly, I would go in for greater sharpness. If you haven't invested in a *good* tripod, you must. If you already have one, see to it that you *tighten* everything. If your camera is 'just lying' on the tripod, you could have slight 'shiver' when you click. Your fan too could create camera shake unless you have *really* tightened everything.

Also in the advanced settings, enable 'Pre-mirror lockup'. This will reduce shake due to the slap of the mirror (won't matter if you are using LiveView as the mirror is already up). And either use a remote release ... or set it on a timer when you're clicking so that your pressing the shutter itself doesn't shake everything.

Photo '5' is looking artificially sharpened. You need to reduce the sharpening as there are artifacts around the black part of the matchstick. Also the matchstick itself is overexposed: you need to underexpose / bracket your snaps.

Hope this helps. Otherwise it seems that you have 'burned' the midnight oil for this ;). Happy clicking!
