I really liked the 1st pic... that photograph has a story n a moment to remember especially for the singer. Technically correct except the focus is on the hand, i dont know u did this intentionally or not, but overall a wonderful capture. Being an amateur post processing is considered as fundamental right and u did a decent job.

Now come to the 2nd snapshot. i've gone through all the photos u posted here in this thread n let me tell u stop shooting these kinda photos as soon as possible, you are a level ahead. Shooting with lenses wide open n making background n foreground blur is the first thing we try when we hold SLR. You have lots of them n you are expert in taking those and you know its importance i.e to isolate the main area/subject inside the frame. Use it as a technique to enhance the photograph. When we talk about the photograph then the content or subject comes into the place. So the content/subject or the story captured inside a frame differentiates between a Photograph and a Snapshot. Ask yourself, how much you would have like this photo if every thing would be in focus or without any blur effect. Im sure you would have deleted this photo from the camera itself if you would have captured this at f11 or with no blur effect. So the vision(creative) is the most important thing here which u have. You are fantastic in conceptual photography, saw your matchbox photographs. Choose your subject carefully, dont make a habit to shoot and then decide by looking at on the LCD whether to keep it or delete it otherwise it will remain for ever. This is where digital lacks.
I saw lots of comment regarding sharpness n mirrorlock but i would suggest you to least bother about it, unless you start selling your photographs. People were taking photograph since ages, without these features, but then there is no harm in using the features of your equipment at its best. Shooting a photograph is most important thing. Shoot some photograph like the above one.
What a sound advice! Each and every one is valuable. Anmol please follow this. As smeet said you have the eye and know the technique, use it to take meaningful pictures.

^Rather than seeing scratched keys, I would've loved to see the whole key along with laid lock or both things in their respective positions or side by sides shoulder pose of lock n key would've been perfect! NIce try nonetheless

Conceptually, your pics always grabs attention, very nice :).
For technical part, there are many experts here to comment on it :)

Leh'd and how!
The picture is rather inviting to have a smoke than asking to quit! :)
Having said that, the DOF is too narrow. Would have looked better if the ciggie butt was in focus too!
