A caution & advise to all the riders (passing through Jaipur in January)..
As the Kite Flying Activities(for sakrant)are about to start take precautions to avoid entangling with the thread :-

1. Please avoid riding two wheelers fast particularly in Jaipur city.
2. Always wear a full face helmet.
3.Please ensure to have your neck covered by a scarf or a muffler or neck wrap, balaclava.
4. Please wear a properly quilted or stuffed jacket.
5. Have a good pair of protective gloves (fingers are also venerable to cuts)
6. In case you get entangled with the kite thread, please slow down your speed.
7. Be extremely careful of the kids & adults running aimlessly on road to loot or collect loose kites.
Jaipur has lost many lives due to this menace.
Respect & enjoy our festivals & be careful while riding & flying kites.

Same is for Rajasthan, Gujrat and other places during Kite Festival - Makar Sankranti.....
Kite Flying is mostly in Western India as they have good winds to do so in January Month.

Why can't any type of government strictly ban the use of Chinese or Indian harmful kite threads.

Innocent children have lost their lives but this Currupt Bureaucracy and Political class bother a least about this Hazard.

This is State Government issue.

Delhi:
DELHI
Chinese manjha banned
STAFF REPORTER
NEW DELHI:, DECEMBER 26, 2016 00:58 IST
UPDATED: DECEMBER 26, 2016 00:58 IST

Two children had to bleed to death in their parents’ arms before the government realised that the deadly Chinese manjha needed to be banned.

Shocking deaths

In the two separate deaths, which took place on August 17, children peering out of their car’s sunroofs had their necks slit by Chinese manjha — a kite thread that is coated with metal or glass powder to give it a cutting edge.

The two deaths were not the first to be reported from Delhi or nearby areas.

Every year, such deaths have been taking place, the major casualties being motorcyclists whose throats are slit when they accidentally get entangled in manjha.

But the deaths of the two boys this year ensured that the Chinese manjha was banned.

Will ban be effective?

Within two days of the deaths, the Delhi government came up with an official notification saying violators would face a jail term of up to five years and a fine of up to Rs.1 lakh. The Delhi Police followed up the order by acting against a few culprits.

The ban included the sale, production and storage of the glass-coated thread that is mainly imported from China. After the ban, kite flying was allowed only with cotton threads or any natural fibre that is free of metallic or glass components.

While the government and the police appeared to have acted soon after the deaths, whether the Chinese manjhas will be kept out of the markets will be known only when the kite-flying season returns next year.

Banned on papers does not means this manjha is not available or is not being sold openly in Market.
Why can't import or manufacturing ban be implemented.
