Experiment unsuccessful, ended up with an artery clogging, diabetes inducing monstrosity! After eating around 50-60gms of it, world seems to slowed down and luminosity of eyes has reduced by around half!

SOS to Doc Pushpinder, sir please post the recipe of the cake Mrs. Pushpinder makes, don't think my heart can withstand another one of these!

Which mode did you use the Microwave oven in?
In Microwave mode it is always way inferior to a standard oven for baking cakes.
There is an exhaust fan that constantly runs and dries out the cake to unacceptable levels!
Moreover, microwaves cannot penetrate food beyond about 2 inches depth. If your baking tin/pan was deeper than that, unsatisfactory results are to be expected!

BTW, were you baking an 'eggless' cake?
Do provide some details about what exactly went wrong.

And it's usually not the heart that has to 'withstand' a cake!!

180 degree in convection mode, with around 45 minutes of baking. Initially the cake expanded quite a bit (twice the final size) but then collapsed drastically. It was well cooked as well, with only the center bottom remaining somewhat uncooked.

But the real problem was the fact that there was just way too much butter and sugar, and that I felt was primarily responsible for the screw up.

And yes it was an egg less cake with the following ingredients:

    Maida - 1 cup
    Sugar - half cup
    Butter - 200gms
    Milkmaid condense milk - 200gms
    Baking powder - half teaspoon
    Baking soda - half teaspoon

My roommate haggled and rented a 2011 camaro for 35$ a day(He is doggy when it comes to haggling) for two weeks and I had accompanied him to the rental office got myself added on as a second driver for free:grin::grin:Though I wont get a lot of chance to drive it but I drove it for about half an hour today:)

Its very claustrophoic(I drive a very roomy full size Dodge Intrepid) and took a little bit of getting used to.Hit 121 mph :pon freeway in no time and the car absolutely flies inspite of being heavy.

It misses on some things like keyless entry and jazz but speed and tachometer is projected on wind shield so that you dont have to look down on near your steering wheel while you are driving:twisted:

Indeed, you used far more butter than needed.
And condensed milk has way too much sugar for the cake to need any more.
Where did you get this recipe from?

Google never lets you down. :)
e.g. Basic Eggless Cake Divine Taste
