Nice info Zack. Any picture of male apples ?
I once got an opportunity to pick a few apples (straight from tree) from a farm near Narkanda. When i was eating the apple, juice was flowing from it as if I was eating an orange.

Those golden apples are male variety. I don't have a picture right now.
Yea, the ones we had were very tasty as well. Rather I liked the pear on these orchids more than apples. Very very juicy and soft like cotton.

Thank you. I stayed at a homestay called "Apple Tree Cottage" near Kotgarh. It's about 15kms ahead of Narkanda on Thanedar road.
Thanks for details..as per your Opinion which month is best to visit this place. To see apple tree full of apples.

Thank you. Kufri, Nakanda and Theog (and beyond till Chansal) harvest around August 1st - 3rd week, Kinnaur harvests in late September, and Kashmir in October. The science is simple - the higher the altitude and colder the farms are, the better the apple blossoms. But they have to be picked before it snows.

Thanks, glad you liked. I've been visiting the valley during this season since the last 2 years. Will be visiting again this year, hopefully..
